From my friend Ken....New york History

I have really been blessed to meet some great people locally on the internet. They have helped expand my intrests in many things. Thats the most valuble thing the onternet offers...This was PRICELESS!

here is what I found on a great website called cinema treasures. From reading comments on the site, it seems that the theatre closed as a movie house in late 1968. Here is a pic of the theatre I found in its present use next to the now closed Jahn's

This pic you can see the theatre and its marquee to the right in the picture. its old, no idea from what year, but its the 1940's.

The former RKO Keith's Richmond Hill Theater showed second-run fare and double bills. It is currently used as a bingo hall and flea market.
The theatre is located at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue & Myrtle Avenue. It was briefly Keith's Richmond Hill before a corporate merger that made it RKO Keith's Richmond Hill. The theatre was the first in Queens to offer free parking, though relatively few people owned cars in those days. Vaudeville accompanied a feature movie in its first years. The opening date was 1927 or 1928, prior to the opening of the Keith-Albee Flushing
