New years eve

What type of person will I be in the new year
Wil I be deep and soulful
Dashing and intelellectual
Ghetto and rawkus
Or will I choose to be
Me?

What type people will I befriend in the new year
Loud and raucous
Bossy or shallow
Religious or uptight
Or will I allow friendships to take their natural place
And let them be themselves
Around me

What type of person will I make love to?
Sexy and goodlooking?
Frail and dowdy?
Fat or skinny
Or will it matter
I may let them be themselves
Around me
And most definately
What will be will be
We have two eyes, two ears, two hands and two feet but only one mouth.
Which means we should look, listen, work and walk twice as hard as we
talk!

What I need

What I need is not the simplicity of the word
Love
What I need is laughter
Trust
The feeling of wholeness
Then one day I will wake up and realize
In my solitude
That I have found love

Piss poor pimps and thugs

What's 2k done to the mentality of these flea brained brothers. Talkin
the talk but not walking the walk.
The drug deaers are bumming ciggrettes the thugs can't fight and are on
some real grimy shit.
I came up in ny lower east side, lived in harlem and a few diffrent
stàtes and its funny in ten years these thugs. Outcasts are trying to
recreate an era that's gone. ITS GONE. Wake up
Now, they are locking dumbasses up and you wanna be a thug?
Shit, turn off the ipod and get to school.
Its really fucked up these days cuz when my uncle and that generation
came along. They stacked money for a cause. The world was diffrent
They went to jail with some bottom, hold you down till the sun shines
again bitch holding your dough.
Now? My 18 year old cousin is in jail with a overdrawn bank acct and two
knucklehead chicks that never even opened a bank account.
Sign o the times. Dumb
If your gonna be into computers and all that leave the thug life to
people who give less than a fuck about a 5 to 15. Let the man that
breathes grime and havoc. The proverbial rolling stone. Let him handle
that lil bit
If your gonna cry about losing it all then walk the straight and narrow.
The hard life aint fashionable
Don't cry when your busted.
I been there and had to say
"Fuck it I was doing while I could" then readjusted my mind to doing
that humiloitating stretch and I never cried. I made me bed shit I laid
in it. Shit and all.
Don't cry baby boy laugh and kiss the sky and say fuck it now I gotta
pay the goddamn band.
Get your education where the clothes and stay your ass in the house on
yahoo and aim themn you .won't have to make that collect call sounding
nlue cause your partying days are threu.
I survived that shit and u will too...word

Another christmas and a new meaning

Its funny as we grow older and our thoughts and desires change sometimes
radiocally. I found myself not in a state of "want" this year but a
state of "thanks" with so many homeless and with addictions running wild
I'm thankful that I made it thru.
I've survived the AIDS crisis whenm most if not all of my friends have
succumbed.
The Crack epidemic
The Herion
All of it I have survived and if I can't rejoice and be glad about that
then I need my ass whupped.

American idol rewind

Strange I'm looking at the rewind version of american idol and these
katts are all like mental health patients. Damn, I guess the losers are
the best part of the show. Then they have the nerve to be offended?
Crazy. I wonder how they feel when they get a chance to hear their
selves.
Mama gets a kick outta this show even the damn dog likes it. Me, its
just irritating. But I'm only one vote lol
